Mary Rhoden Obituary

Mary McGee Rhoden, 78, of Salt Springs, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born September 19, 1946, in Starke, Florida to Walker and Mary Lou McKelvey McGee. Mary was a ray of light in this world and instantly loved by all who knew her. She was a long-time member of First Baptist of Salt Springs where she faithfully attended Bible study and volunteered in the food pantry. She loved traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Mary was skilled in crochet and admired by her family for her paintings.

She is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Joe, Jimmy, Ocie, Bert, and Curtis McGee.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of almost 60 years, Robert Rhoden; son, Richard (Pam) Rhoden, of Ocala, FL; daughter, Cindy (Manny) Sanisidro, of Nashville, GA; Brother, Bruce (Pat) McGee, of Allentown, PA; five grandchildren, Mollie (Trent) Taylor, Kristofer Valdez, Douglas Rhoden, Hannah Mathis, Andrue Valdez, and Victoria Rhoden; and nine great- grandchildren, Maggie Taylor, Lennox Garcia, Kylie, Karson, Alexa, Liam, Hadley, Liliahna Valdez, and Allias Valdez-Rivera. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home and a service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Baptist of Salt Springs Food Pantry 24100 Co Rd 314, Fort McCoy, FL 32134.
