In Loving Memory of Mary Catherine Scott 
With profound sadness the family of Mary Catherine Scott announces her passing on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

A Life Well- Lived 
Born on May 15, 1929 in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the Hardy Sanitarium, Mary Catherine was the loving daughter of Solan Smith and Sarah “Sadie” Catherine Creswell. She grew up to graduate from Kingston High School in 1947 and later attended Southeastern College in Durant, Oklahoma, where she pursued a degree in journalism.

A Legacy of Love 
Mary Catherine married the love of her life, Frank Morris Scott, on December 9, 1950. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and adventure. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before Frank’s passing in February 2001, Mary Catherine’s successful career as a supervisor at USS Oilwell was marked by dedication and perseverance.

A Heart for Family and Joy 
Mary Catherine’s greatest joys in life were her family, gardening, decorating, fashion and indulging in sweet treats. She was a constant presence at family gatherings and events, always dressed to impress with her signature style and flair. Her love and devotion to her family will be deeply missed.

Cherished Memories 
Mary Catherine is survived by her loving daughter, Marsha Renee Gardner, and her husband Russell; grandkids Regan Renee Tillman and husband Bryan, and Dallas Lee Gardner; great-grandkids Hayden Catherine Vest and husband Ryan, Brayden Scott Tillman and wife Eryka, Celeste Irene Gardner, Lydia Luz Gardner, Joseph Russell Gardner great-great grandkids,  Everlee Rose Vest, Hudson Ryan Vest, and soon-to-arrive Bryer Scott Winn Tillman. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family and friends.

In Grateful Memory 
Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Solon Smith and Sarah “Sadie” Catherine Creswell; her beloved husband, Frank Morris Scott; and her son Michael Smith Scott.
