Minnie Bridgeman Obituary
Minnie "Kathleen" (Couch) Bridgeman, 84, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Sugar Grove Senior Living in Plainfield.
She was born March 23, 1941, in Saul, Kentucky to the late Edison and Myrtle (Arnett) Couch.
Kathleen married John Kay Bridgeman in May of 1976. They lived on a farm in Paragon where she was a homemaker. She also worked as a cook for the Pettijohn auction for more than 20 years. She amassed an enviable Fenton glassware collection and numerous cookbooks and quilts. She was a talented cook and amateur artist.
She is survived by her husband, John Kay Bridgeman, Sr. of Paragon; brother, Steven Couch (Sandy) of Indianapolis; sister, Gerri Leverance of Plainfield; step-daughters, Myra Shepherd (Michael) of Benton, Arkansas and Rana Mathers (Chuck Lyles) of Paragon; step-son, John Kay Bridgeman Jr.; nieces, Michelle Lewman (Kyle) of Mooresville and Mitzi Pickett of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren including Lacy Robinson, who she raised; and several great grandchildren.
Kathleen was preceded in death by parents Edison and Myrtle; brother Bobby Couch; children, Edison Grothe, Steven Loy and Diana Miller; grandchildren, Tiffany Ibanez and Kayley Mathers.
Visitation for Kathleen will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Keenan Steinway officiating.
Burial will be at Mannan Cemetery in Morgan County.
