Paul Hess Obituary

Paul E. Hess, 84, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on October 19, 2024, in the Thornwald Nursing Home in Carlisle. He was born September 11, 1940, to the late Cletus J. and Bessie (Bigham) Hess, Sr.

Paul worked for the Purina Plant in Mechanicsburg with over 16 years of service and then went on to work on the overnight maintenance team for Walmart. Paul loved the outdoors, especially gardening, hunting, and fishing. He was very family oriented, hard working and extremely empathetic. Paul had an amazing sense of humor and was often a goof ball. You could always find Paul laughing and having a good time. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are his siblings, Sarah Wolf, Janice H. Long, and Guy Hess; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his siblings, Lois Helem, Pius Hess, and Cletus J. Hess, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Pastor Dan Murray officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services and burial will take place in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
