Ramon Enriquez Obituary

RAMON E. ENRIQUEZ, age 89, of Las Cruces passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at La Posada-Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 26, 1935, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Petra and Clemente Enriquez. Ramon was the proud owner of Enriquez Brother’s Trucking and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. 

Survivors include a daughter, Elvira Gomez; and 2 sons, Sergio Enriquez, and Ramon Enriquez Jr; all from Las Cruces; and a sister, Amelia Larrea from California. Other survivors include 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Elvira Enriquez; son, Johnny Enriquez; brother, Alfredo Enriquez; and 2 sisters, Hortencia Perez, and Antonia Ortega.

Visitation for Mr. Enriquez will begin at 6 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Baca’s Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina Street with the Reverend Alejandro Reyes, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Joseph Sanchez, Gustavo Sanchez Jr., Ramon Enriquez Jr., Sergio Enriquez, Alfred Enriquez, and Mark Rey. Honorary bearers are, Zach Sanchez, Markus Rey, Levi Herrick, and Abel Kurtzman.
