Norma was a true "Mama Bear", so loving, caring, giving and fierce when needed. It was a truly a gift to know her for over 30 years, she made this world a better place. God bless you Arthur and Family, please call on me for anything.

Norma was sweet, kind, caring, dedicated to her family, and everything she was involved with. She will be missed by so many. It was such a pleasure knowing and working with her. We honor her service to God, her family, the military, her church and the WACVA Chapter 94 in Killeen. May God’s comfort and strength be with her family and friends. Rest in peace my sister!

It is hard for me to try and find the words to try and describe what she stood for. Everything that represents elegance, nobleness humbleness and strength just to name a few. I had the honor to serve with her side by side in the Armed Forces and I must say she was very proud to have worked the uniform. She definitely was a leader who set the example for her followers in the military and displayed the same courage outside the military to those who needed guidance. I learned very much from her that helped me to continue this journey in life. It was an honor to me when she allowed me to become part of her family as her son in law. I will always have her in my heart and spirit because wherever I go I do believe she will always be with me. My love will never diminish for you even though you are gone because the love you had for me will always meet in union. Rest in peace. Mom.

I met 1Sgt Thompson in 2002, I was a young Specialist ! She immediately took me under her wing and supported me in my upward promotions in the Guard! She always spoke highly of God, family and the military! She will definitely be missed! Praying for the Thompson family!

Mrs Norma touched multiple people's lives in a positive way. She will be dearly missed by many people. Rest Peacefully Ma'am and thank you for your inspiration in my life.

Norma Thompson - I will miss her friendly, calm, assuring personality and her words of advice. She always had an open ear, and was easy to talk to, she was a wonderful Chapter President and I really enjoyed serving on the executive board with her. She was one of the best. MSG Thompson will always be loved and never forgotten by all who knew her. I enjoyed working with her in the Chaper 94 of the women’s Veteran group and will miss her always.

She was a building light in the women’s veterans group, chap 94. She will be missed but never forgotten by not only her family and friends but the sisters in chapter 94 and the soldiers she served in the army both past and present . Rest in peace and I miss you.

I will surely miss you Norma. You always did things for others. You really enjoyed ensuring that the Seniors had the food items they needed for Senior Bingo. I will always remember the last time that we hugged at the WACVETS meeting.

Mrs. Thompson is such a graceful elegant God fearing woman. I know in my heart when she met the Lord he looked at her and said I’ve known you well my faithful servant. The last time I saw her was at church and she handed me the chalice, we both smiled at one another and received communion. It’s sad to think that would be the last time I would see her. I grew up with her boys, we were all altar servers in the mid 90s and I used to love seeing them in their suits dressed up for church. How lovely it is that she made sure her boys were dressed for church and even better she shared her love of the Lord with her boys. That is a wonderful gift a parent can share with their children if not the greatest. I will miss seeing Mrs. Thompson at church. I am praying for the family and husband during this time of grief. May we follow in her footsteps and be committed to the church and our families. May she rest in peace and may her family and friends find comfort peace and strength in their hearts. We ask you to be with them in the name of Jesus

I’m so sorry for the loss of Norma. She was such a very good giving and loving person. She always helped at Saint Joseph and she was always there for everybody and I remember seeing her volunteering at the ladies of charity and I know she leaves her mark, but she leaves many memories. May God bless her and strengthen the family in this time of loss✝✝
