Rita Phillips Obituary

Rita Jane Phillips, age 75 of Franklin, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 1pm at Crafton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Tuesday and after 6am Wednesday at the funeral home.  A native of Garrett, KY, she was the daughter of the late Harlan Nowak and Nancy Hoover Nowak.  She was preceded in death by her brother  - Jack Nowak and her sister – Judy Craft.  Rita enjoyed cooking for her family and was “an excellent cook”. Survivors include her husband – Eddie Phillips of Franklin; children – Jaime Phillips of Franklin, Steve Spangler of Gilbert, Arizona, Eddie Spangler (Angie) of Greenwood, Indiana and step daughter – Michelle Phillips of Clarksville, TN; sisters – Joyce Ring (Melvin) of Franklin, Freda Sweetsir (Michael) of Franklin and Darlena Burch (Bill) of Russellville; grandchildren – Keira Bergeron, Makayla Spangler, Aleah Spangler, Alex Spangler and Landon Spangler and step grandchildren – Madison Stewart and David Stewart, Jr.; 2 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
