Rosalie Fowler Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Rosalie Fowler, passed away on October 3, 2024.

Rosalie was born on March 12, 1948, to Joe Kaderka and Martha Martinka of Granger, TX. She always fondly recalled her childhood, reminiscing about helping her dad on the farm, playing with her sisters and brother in the cotton fields, and helping to raise pet lambs that she loved dearly. After graduating from high school, she left Granger for her first job at the University of Texas at Austin and later worked for the Department of State Health Services, achieving 30 years of service as a state government employee. She was a hardworking and dedicated mother to her two children, a doting aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a loving grandmother to her granddaughters. Rosalie was a kind and caring person who was always looking out for others and would never hesitate to help someone in need. She will be dearly missed.

Rosalie is survived by her son, Ray Martinets; daughter, Amy Bursley; granddaughters, Chelsea Rusch, Melanie Rusch, and Amber Bursley; and great-grandchildren, Jax and Alivia Alba.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
