Sandra Wilcox Obituary

Sandra Leah Wilcox, 74, of East Providence and formerly of Pawtucket passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the loving wife of the late James Wilcox Jr. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Roseanna (Wisher) and John Agin.

Sandra was an avid shopper, loved the beach and traveling, a huge fan of Scrabble, loved playing words with friends, watching one of her favorite TV shows Big Brother, but most of all loved spending time with her friends and family.

Sandra made many friends over the years while working for multiple different companies such as School House Candy, HealthTex, Korbs, Almacs and finally for the past 21 years at Metro Park in downtown Providence.

Sandra is survived by her daughter Gail Agin, her granddaughter Rylee Jackson, and her siblings Barbara Fuller, Judy Morris, Martha Tetreault, and David Agin. She is also survived by many, many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Corey Agin and Sandra was the sister of the late John Agin, Robert Agin, Donald Agin, Alan Agin and Gloria Naylor. Sandra was godmother to Patricia Mazza and David Cepeda.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary’s Church, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Central Avenue, Pawtucket.

Dear Gail and Rylee, and the rest of the Agin family. I am so sorry for your loss. Sandra will always be missed. She was a great sister-in-law and I loved her very much. Starting from Grace Street we we would play Scrabble just about every night while the kids played in the living room. Later on we played words with Friends. At times, we would have several games going at the same time. I will miss Sandy always. She has a very special place in my heart.

Sandy was an amazing woman who always made everyone’s day better when she was around. Her daily visits to the cafe to gossip about work or chit chat about Big Brother among other things will be deeply missed.

My family and the Agin family met when we moved from California to Pawtucket in 1960. Both families became good friends . In 1965 we moved back to Calif and lost touch for a few hrs. Thank God for FB which helped us reconnect. At times she would post photos of us as kids. Was so cool to reminisce of old times. My thoughts and prayers go out to her entire family. From the Adam's family all are love
