Sebastiana (Nuccia) Calafiore 86, of Cromwell, beloved wife of Paolo Calafiore passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday March 17, 2025. Sebastiana was born in Floridia, province of Siracusa, Sicily on March 14, 1939, she was the loving daughter of Carmela (Sutera) Veneziano and Santo Veneziano. Nuccia came to the US with her husband and four sons in 1972. She became a devoted housewife and an amazing and loving mother.
Nuccia loved to cook and feed family and friends. Known for her kindness and dedication, Nuccia was a loving mother, grandparent who cherished time with her family. She always put the needs of others around her before her own and she gave endlessly without expecting anything in return. She loved to go to the casino with her husband and spend time with friends and family. Though she is no longer physically with us, her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
In addition to her husband, Nuccia will be forever missed by her four sons, Serafino Calafiore and his wife Beata, Santo Calafiore and his wife Lena, Sebastiano Calafiore and his wife Valeria, Guiseppe Calafiore and his wife Evelina. She is also survived by her brother Serafino Veneziano, sisters Carmela Calafiore, Antonia Dimascio, Maria Tata and Angela Caramagno. She is also pre-deceased by her brothers Giuseppe Veneziano, Mimmo Veneziano, and Salvatore Veneziano and sister Rosetta Sala. Nuccia also leaves behind her grandchildren Rebecca, Alessandro, Isabella, Paul, Sabrina, Stefania, Daniel and her great grandchildren Mario, Gio, Emilio, Roman and Forrest.
