Theresa "Flossie" Lesperance Obituary

Theresa “Flossie” Lesperance, 98, of Kirby, VT, passed away on October 21, 2024, at The Pines Health and Rehabilitation after a long illness.

Flossie was born in Kirby on May 22, 1926, to Louis and Alphonsine (Bedard) Lesperance. She spent most of her life on the family farm. She later went to live with her niece, Helen Sherburne and Ron, after which she moved to The Pines in 2016 and spent her final years there.

She loved to crochet and made many nice pieces and enjoyed playing Canasta and Phase 10 with her sister Lida, Helen, and Don. She also adored and loved spending time with Helen’s dog, Buddy. She worked for years cleaning houses in the St. Johnsbury and East St. Johnsbury area until her health kept her from working any longer. She was very special to all who knew her.

Flossie is survived by many nieces and nephews, including a special niece and caregiver, Helen Sherburne. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Lida Surridge, Helena Cushman, and Evelyn Santy, and brothers Archie, Paul and Robert Croteau.

The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at The Pines, and especially Shirley Ham and a very special nurse and friend.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street, St. Johnsbury, VT, with The Rev. Lance W. Harlow officiating. Friends may call on the family beginning at 9am at the same location. Burial will immediately follow the service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Johnsbury.
