Mrs Wendy Buxton (nee Wharmby), of Magnolia House Care Home, Chesterfield Road, Mansfield, has passed away at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, aged 87.
A lifelong resident of Chesterfield, Wendy worked at a hosiery factory in Bolsover from leaving school, then was a school cook for several years at Middle Croft School.
Wendy's interests included dog walking her beloved past dogs Mick, Max and Sam, but more recently Monty, also loved baking and knitting, but most of all spending time with her grandkids and family.
Wendy was predeceased by her husband Len. She leaves daughter Anne, son Darren, son-in-law David, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Ben, Samantha, Danny, Melissa and Zak, great-grandchildren Grace, Joseph, Bobbie-Mae, Matilda and Esmé.
The funeral service takes place on May 1, 2024, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 3.30pm.
