Eugene McCormick Obituary

McCORMICK Eugene Francis McCormick, Sr., passed away quietly while sleeping on July 12, 2009, in The Woodlands, Texas, having lived a full life of 97 years. Eugene was born on April 8th, 1912, in Cairo, Illinois. Eugene married Florence Lillian Trumbull October 12th, 1940. Eugene is survived by Eugene Francis McCormick, Jr., formerly of New Orleans and now of The Woodlands, TX and wife, Elizabeth Wetzel McCormick; Dolores McCormick Merrill, and husband, David Merrill of Sparks, Nevada; Marilyn Ann McCormick Harvey, and husband, Delbert Harvey of Tallahassee, FL; and Karen Elizabeth McCormick Sorrells, and husband William Sorrells, of Atlanta, GA. 10 grandchildren include, James Emmett McCormick of New Orleans and Nashville, TN; Erin McCormick Majorie and husband Chad of New Orleans, and Asheville, NC; and Matthew M. McCormick (deceased), along with 11 great grandchildren. Mass was held at the Kraeer Funeral Home, 1353 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432, at 11 am on Saturday, July 18th with internment following at the Boca Raton Mausoleum. Donations may be made to the Maine Maritime Academy, Mathew McCormick Memorial Scholarship through Leah Bishop at 207-326-2223 or [email protected].
