Arlea W. Farley, 100, of Jamesville, died peacefully at the home she and her husband, Raymond built, surrounded by family. She was born in Mexico and graduated from Mexico High School in 1942. She worked at Syracuse Stamping Company.
She attended the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches in Mexico and sang in their choirs. She traveled extensively with her husband, Raymond B. Farley. She enjoyed gardening and all the beauty of nature.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond in 1992; daughter, Rosanne Russ in 2011; parents, Lot and Gladys Ackley; and brothers, Treveland Ackley and Harvey Ackley. She is survived by her children, Elaine Whitehead, Linda Orr, Patricia (Dickie) Richardson, Gary R. Farley, David Farley (Tari DeMauro); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 10:00 am to Noon on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The service will begin at 12:30 pm following the calling hours. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens in DeWitt.
A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on November 2, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church in Mexico, NY.
Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 4372 Church St., Mexico, NY 13114.
