Fredrick Wilson Obituary

Fredrick Thomas Wilson (Fred), 76, of Lillian, Alabama peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at his home. He was surrounded by his loving family and beloved pets. Fred grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and started his Career in Data Processing at Huntsville Hospital. He later relocated to Oxford, Alabama, and worked at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL. until his retirement. He was a member of the Sertoma Organization for many years. Fred was an avid Auburn fan and tailgated with friends and family and attended as many games as possible. He was also an active member of the Oxford Band Boosters, where his children attended high-school. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Myrtice Wilson, his grandson, Deven Conrad, his brother Eric Wilson, his mother and father-in-law, Pete and Juanita Fancher, and his sister-in-law, Connie Fancher. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of thirty four years, Sandra Fancher Wilson, his son, Ian (Jayme) Stephens, his daughter, Claire (Kenny) Brown, grandson, Kendall Brown, granddaughters Sydney Brown (Nils Larsen), Maddi Cassell, great grandson Kieran, great-granddaughter, Nori Conrad, his brother Jeffery (Cindie) Wilson, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Fred was a loving husband, father, fisherman, and loved the beach and all of his dogs, large and small, past and present. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Those who wish to honor Fred should donate to their local Animal Rescue/Shelter or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We will forever miss him. Special thanks to Community Hospice and Cason Funeral Service both located in Foley, Alabama. You all treated us with kindness and grace during our most difficult time.
