Carole Taulbee Obituary
On September 20, 2024, Ms. Carole Sue Rouse Taulbee booked her reservation and went home to the Lord. Carole was born in Bellevue, Kentucky, and attended Georgetown College. While raising three kids of her own, Carole taught in public school in DeKalb County, GA, for over 30 years. She spent a lifetime dedicating herself to her community in various ways. Even after battling and beating breast cancer, she was always active with her family's activities, and she is fondly remembered by many for being ever-present, caring, and the consummate hostess. She loved her family, her pets, and shopping. And she shopped for them all with unmatched devotion.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents; four older brothers; and by her special pets, Molly and Merlin. She leaves behind three children; six incredibly amazing grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and about 400 pairs of shoes that lovingly earned her the nickname, "Imelda".
A brief Celebration of Life service for her friends and family in the Atlanta area will be held at Flannigan's Funeral Home in Buford on October 9, 2024, visitation at 10 AM, service at 11:00 AM. Friends are invited to come share their favorite memories of this very special lady.
Carole's final resting place will be in KY. In lieu of flowers, Carole would have loved for donations to be made to any of the following 3 organizations: breast cancer support organization, the Alzheimer's Foundation, or your favorite pet rescue.
