Born July 14, 1931 in Warrington, England, entered Heaven July 8, 2009. After meeting a young soldier (Husband) Joe in England, Jean made the journey across the ocean to start her new life in America. Joe and Jean were married on May 29, 1952 (57 years ago). She watched as her family grew with children, Joe (Debbie) Serbentas, Crystal Falls, MI, John (Cathy) Serbentas, Hammond, IN, James (Barb) Serbentas, East Chicago, IN, Jeannie (Pete) Lenzo, Hammond, IN, Sonny (Diane) Serbentas, Justice, IL, Dorothy Renee (Lecil Butch) Martin, Hammond, IN, along with 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, Tom Keddie, Warrington, England. She was preceded in death by her father, Adam; and mother, Winifred Keddie. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her memory will live on in all that knew her. There are no words that I can express on the lost of your mother. Your were a great daughter to her and she loved her family dearly. It will be hard for awhile but your famiy is strong and thery will be their for you.
