Obituary

Robert J. Brown, Sr., 75, of Estero, Florida and Plymouth, Massachusetts, formerly of Stamford, CT; died unexpectedly due to heart complications on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

He was born in New York City, New York on June 25, 1933, the son of Southcote M. and Gladys (Mears) Brown.

Mr. Brown graduated from the University of Connecticut, class of 1956, majoring in Business Administration.

A longtime resident of Stamford, CT; where he was active in the community, Mr. Brown coached and acted as president the Springdale Little League for more than 20 years. An avid golfer, Robert was a member of the West Bay Golf Club in Estero, FL.

Before moving to Estero, Florida in 1999, Mr. Brown retired from Merrill Lynch, Stamford, CT. office as Vice President following 36 years of service.

Survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Susan (Lennon) Brown, three loving children, Linda A. Brown and her husband, Albert Blangio of Somerville, MA; Robert J. Brown Jr. and his wife Lina Brown of Trumbull, CT and Thomas F. Brown of San Francisco. Also survived by his loving grandson, Michael Robert Brown.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the Brown family.
