Kathryn Schumacher Obituary

Janesville, WI - Kathryn "Kathy" L. Schumacher, age 74, of Janesville, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Her siblings called her "Kath". She was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin on February 7, 1950; the daughter of Lawrence "Ski" and Dorothy (Hernan) Tadder. Kathy married Larry Schumacher on November 21, 1970 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Janesville. She was employed with the Social Security Administration as a Service Representative, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed traveling the world with Larry, and their many special trips with Chuck and Vickie Lentz. Kathy loved being a mom and making chocolate chip cookies with Max, and shopping with Samantha.

Kathy is survived by her husband and best friend, Larry Schumacher; sons, Aaron and Dan (Kristen) Schumacher; grandchildren, Samantha and Max; the three special boys in her life, Nate, Kyle and Brad Warda; siblings: Ruth (Mike) Hanley, Bob (Betsy) Tadder, Rog Tadder, Sandy (Doug) Greene, Jane (Barry) Larson, Sharon Tadder and Cathy Tadder; as well as countless life-long friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the awesome Schumacher in-laws.

She is preceded in death by her infant son, Jon Anthony; her parents; brothers: Bill, Dave and Rick Tadder; and in-laws, Art and Doris Schumacher.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME; with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. A private urn committal will be held at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to either Agrace Hospice or to Meals On Wheels.
