Wendy Bernier Obituary
Wendy graduated from Wahconah Regional High School in 1993. She then joined the work force and held many positions from injection molding of plastic, home health aid, and bartender. Then in the summer 2003 she married Jason and moved to Connecticut where he was stationed in the Navy. She then got a job at a mortgage firm and took a few college courses to obtain her Real Estate license. Wendy then took a job as a Baker and did that for quite a few years. Most recently, she found great purpose in her work as a school bus driver, where she lovingly cared for and transported children with special needs. Wendy was blessed with a beautiful voice and a deep love of music, which brought joy to those around her. Above all, her heart belonged to her son, Brandon, who was her greatest pride and joy.
In addition to her loving husband, Jason and cherished son, Brandon M. Bernier, Wendy leaves behind her parents, Norman and Florence Dodge of Peru, MA. Two sisters, Erica Sibley and husband, Glen of Valdosta, GA. and Amy Dodge of Hinsdale, MA. Two brothers, Edward Smith of Hinsdale, Ma. and Richard Smith of Texas. Wendy also leaves behind four nieces, Elisabeth Hebert, Taylor Dodge, Victoria Sibley, and Arianna Poirier and two great nieces, Guinevere and Lillian Hebert. Wendy will also be greatly missed by many other family members, friends, coworkers, and her beloved pit bull "Stella".
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 11AM - 12PM in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home of Patrick Quinn Funerals and Cremations, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown with a Celebration of Life service at 12PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. A procession to RI Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Exeter for committal will follow.
