Eleanor Cyr Obituary

NEW BRITAIN

Eleanor D. Cyr, 86, of New Britain, passed away on Wednesday August 28, 2024. She was born on February 12, 1938 in South Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Celia Martin. She was a retired cafeteria worker and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 52 years Reynold (Reno) Cyr; her children Debbie Ashley, Reynold P. Cyr and his wife Kathy and Amy Czlapinski and her husband David; her thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren with one on the way and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Brenda Toomey, Roy J. Enos III and Cindy Casella and was the last surviving member of her eight siblings. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 4 p.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol followed by calling hours until 6 p.m..
