Shaun Galway Obituary

BRISTOL

Shaun R. Galway, 73, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Born May 6, 1951 in Bristol, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Robert and Claire (Sheldon) Galway. He grew up in Bristol and was a 1969 graduate of Bristol Eastern High School. He also attended Wagner College and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. He lived in Amherst before moving to West Springfield in 1982. Shaun worked for 21 years for United Parcel Services retiring as a Supervisor. He enjoyed gardening, antiquing, jamming out to Classic Rock, long Sunday drives, family vacations, weekend excursions with Ellen up North andeverything Boston Sports. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Ellen C. (Demers) Galway, his daughter, Katharine C. Joyal and her husband Tarny of West Springfield, MA, his stepson Raymond "Butch" Marquis and his wife Michelle of Greeneville, TN, his stepdaughter, Nicole Roth and her husband Scott, of Chicopee, MA., and his sister Laurie Judd, her husband Norman and son Brian of South Carolina. He leaves seven Grandchildren, Ariel Bridgette, Veronica, Kaila, Corryn, TJ and Alexis and a Great-Grandson, Wyatt. He leaves several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Murphy. The family would like to thank Baystate VNA and Hospice for the wonderful care and support for Shaun and Ellen. Funeral services were held June 21, 2024 at Curran Jones Funeral Home with burial at St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield. Shaun Robert Galway
