So sorry to here about Cliffs loss. I worked with Cliff for 27 years in the NHL and he was always so much fun to be around sharing stories and quite a few laughs. Especially when the Stanley Cup Playoffs came around and we used to travel to other cities to do the games. It was an honor and a privilege to know and work with him. Rest In Peace my friend.

I had the privilege of knowing Mr Smith, who called me Mr Mike, since high school. He was a joy to be around and always smiling. He always took the time to talk and had interest in me and what Tim and I were up to. I saw him support his family which he deeply loved. I liked when I saw him on TV in the penalty box working Sabres games. I often wondered what conversations he had with players. I am sure he made an impression on them. My last memories of him were happy ones as we joined the Smith Family camping. Sitting by the fire laughing until my sides hurt. I am so sorry for this tremendous loss for the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all fo peace and comfort. I see his joy and love being paid forward to generations.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends. Cliff as always been an out standing person. We use to talk, joke around and laugh before games, during periods and after the games. If there were any hockey pucks around, He would hand them out to the young kids. Just to see the kids faces lite up was an honor. He will be missed and thought about forever. God bless you my hockey friend.
