Jennifer Etzel Obituary

Erin lost her courageous battle with cancer on January 20, 2024. She leaves behind her beloved family, fiance Richard Danis, her parents David and Norma Jean Etzel, sister and brother-in-law Johanna and Richard Norris, their children, Jose, Nicholas and Briona and her cousin/brother Brannan Bull as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Creative, dynamic, compassionate, selfless, and beautiful, she lit up a room when she entered. She never sought recognition for all the good and generous things she did in her short life.

She had many careers, though her true passion was gardening. She was a fierce animal activist fostering and saving many lives. She will be painfully missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held from 1PM to 5PM in Easton, Maryland at Magnolia Manor, 768 Port Street. When using GPS enter the address of Evergreen Cove, 770 Port Street. Turn left at the end of the road.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" in Afton, Virginia at the home of Richard Danis in early spring.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be sent to "Dogs Deserve Better-Blue Ridge" in Augusta County, Virginia. http://www.dogsdeservebetterblueridge.org.

We never met Erin but felt like we knew her through her parents - good friends and neighbors. It was a said day for us to learn she lost her fight. We will miss her.
