To the Small Family Sending my prayers and blessings to your family. Monkey was a well known man in the VOC to his siblings God is able to bring you through this difficult time.

Patricia, Zeffie, Zach, Aunt Myrt and Small family,
I can not begin to adequately express the shock and deep sadness I falt when hearing of Melvin's passing. Some of you are very much aware of the strong bond "Monk" and I shared over the years. We were so close, shared so much time together working side by side in my home, caring for my lawn, fussing about who was going to ride and who was pushing the lawn mowers, shopping the hardware stores for tools , paint and other necessities for our tasks.

We both shared the Small trait of stubborness and argued endlessly about the smallest thing; would fall out and stop speaking , but it never lasted. We knew we could always depend on each other in the best and worst of times. It was so much fun sharing family stories, cooking, sharing our favorite snack of hard cracklings and doing what we could for others. He had a sweet and generous spirit underneath the strong and tough personna. There is so much more I could say, but not now.

My dear cousin, friend and "Road Dog", rest in peace and power.
