Teddy Swartz Obituary

Teddy Kathleen Swartz, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and businesswoman, passed away peacefully at her home in Garden City, Utah, on September 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 22, 1948, in Winkenburg, Arizona, to parents Theodore and Earlene Tibbetts.

Teddy is survived by her beloved husband, David Swartz; her cherished sons, Brent and Brian Gulzow; her daughters-in-law, Liana Gulzow and Leesa Gulzow; her adored grandchildren, Cambryn Tanner, Kyren Gulzow, and Chole Gulzow; and great-grandchildren, Beck and Teddy Joe Tanner. Her siblings, Linda Williams, Charlene Juarez, and Charles Cory, along with her extended family, will carry her memory forward. She also leaves behind her Nieces, Melinda, Heather, Chrystal, and Patti Ann; nephew, Derrick; great-nieces, Ashley, Amber, Keana, Alyssa, Amanda, and Jillian; and great-nephews, Mikey, Justin, Matthew, Weston, and Wyatt. Great-great nephew Nathan.

Teddy was a highly successful businesswoman, running multiple companies throughout her life. Her leadership and work ethic were admired by all who knew her. However, her greatest accomplishment and joy was always her family. She delighted in hosting summer pool gatherings for her grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and everyone looked forward to her magical Christmas parties, where she and her husband would entertain as Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Known for her baking skills, Teddy was always trying new recipes and spreading love through her kitchen creations. Her selfless nature shone brightly, always ensuring that others were well-cared for before enjoying herself. Her laughter, witty jokes, warm hugs, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service will be held on September 28, 2024, at 11 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 65 Bear Lake Blvd, Garden City, Utah.

Teddy's legacy of love, kindness, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

We were sisters in the gospel of Jesus Christ and soon became besties and would do anything for each other. Teddy was generous and gifted in many respects, often sharing her talent of cooking and sewing and entertaining. Our favorite drink was Tiny Tina from the Pop Shop . We always enjoyed our time together. You will be missed but sweetly remembered. Lots of love, always.
