I attended Vietnamese Language School in El Paso with Ray and shared joining BOQ quarters with him. He was a Captain and I was a Second Lt. Ray had already spent one tour in Vietnam and had eared the Silver Star. He share valuable knowledge with me about Vietnam that helped me prepare for what lay ahead. Ray was consistently a dedicated soldier and I respected him for his professionalism and military barring.
