Abigail Burr Obituary

Abigail Rose Burr of Brasstown, N.C., was born Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Abigail's name means "My Father's Joy," and that's exactly what she was. As she was welcomed into this world to her earthly father, Joshua Burr, on his birthday, she was received into her Heavenly Father's arms on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
During her nine short days here on Earth, she was loved deeply by her family. She enjoyed being held and kissed by her older siblings. Her middle name, Rose, from her sisters, who always said that if they had another sister, they would call her Rosie Posie. From her sweet newborn cries to smiles in her sleep, she will be forever remembered for being a reflection of her Heavenly Father's joy for all the love and joy she brought to her family during her time here on this earth.
In addition to her parents, Joshua and Ashley Sellars Burr, she is survived by her brother, Duke Burr; sisters, Sage Burr, Alyah Burr and Riley Burr, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Rhonda Anderson of Texas, and Jack and Yvonne Burr of Blue Ridge, Ga.; and maternal grandparents, Don and Su-Zan Sellars of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Little Brasstown Baptist Church. Pastor Aud Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Duke Burr, Don Sellars and David Wells. She will be carried to her final resting place by her father, Joshua Burr, and grandfather, Jack Burr.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at Little Brasstown Baptist Church.
