WOW! I've been totally blindsided by this. I'm so sorry for your loss. I moved away from Fairmount when I got married (back in 2002), so I didn't know that he had cancer. I'd seen him a few times but I just thought his haggard look was from grief and just being Joe...he went at everything with 200%...which I admired about him. I have Stage IV cancer, myself, and I know I need to push myself more instead of giving in. To trust God and do what I know to do until He does call me Home. Joe is an inspiration for that. I can almost hear him, belting out praise to God as loud and as strong as he can and Ty, Dale, Wilbur & Barb joining him. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
