When I remember Mildred (Sister Fisher) I reflect upon her warmness, calmness, and strength derived from deep spiritual faith, experience, practice, and self-discipline. She worked mostly from "within the shadows" of her family as she prepared and supported them in their "callings". There used to be a designation/title given such remarkable ladies: "Mother in Israel". She was a remarkable and memorable lady...I was glad to call My Friend.

Love and prayers for all the family of Mildred. I got acquainted with Mildred and Donald while I was at Colonial Oaks. I ate with them often in the dining hall and had some great conversations with them. It was marvelous to see Mildred continue to walk the halls there. She was truly a blessing to many. Not sure I'll be able to attend the viewing, but my thoughts will be there with you.

Aunt Mildred was a beautiful person inside and out, and she will be missed by everybody who knew her. She was 107 years young, right up to her last day. I'll never forget her kindness, her quit wit, or her great cooking.
