Beverly Mislak Reese, 82, of Dallas, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, in Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Kingston, to the late Henry Mislak, Tony and Mary Kutzer Yova. Beverly was a graduate of Kingston High, Class of 1958, and also graduated from Empire Beauty School in 1960. Beverly worked in her early years part time as a seamstress and when her children were grown, and worked at Turkey Hill in Dallas from the day it opened for 31 years, retiring at the age of 79. While at Turkey Hill, where she really enjoyed to "socialize," she made a lot of friends and was loved by many of them. She was also recognized with many awards for her service and dedication.
Over the years, Beverly enjoyed traveling with her husband, Chas, on many of his trips cross country and up and down the east coast, as he drove tractor trailers for Arthur Shelly Inc. and later Calex Inc. They enjoyed numerous camping trips and canoeing together.
Beverly was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, friend and co-worker and will be sadly missed by all.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles; and sister, Barbara Kowalski.
Surviving are her children, daughter Judi and husband Carl Carpenter, Daughter Carole Patton and Fiance' Thomas Dubbs, Son Charles Jr. and wife Pamela; grandchildren, Brittany Russell, Jessica and husband Albert Cortes, and Tyler Patton; great-granddaughter Cristy Cortes.
A celebration of life will be held for family at a later date. Beverly's family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart Dunmore, for their exceptional care and compassion.
