Edna M. Morgan, 85, of Luzerne, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, with her family by her side.
Born in Harveys Lake, April 12, 1938, to the late John and Naomi Farrel Gosart, she was a graduate of Lake Noxen High School, Class of 1956. She was a member of the honor society.
After high school, she met her husband, Robert L. Morgan Sr., and they were married for 65 years, May 7, 1959.
Edna was a member of The Wyoming Methodist Church, where her minister was the Rev. Carol Coleman, with whom she became very close friends.
Edna, soon after marriage, began working with her husband in their company, Morgan Electric, Morgan Realty. She was active in many organizations, president of Wyoming Valley Women's Club, Irem Temple Auxilliary, Irem Motor Corp Ladies and Luzerne Fire Department Auxiliary.
Edna was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Jenkins, Fairless Hills.
Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Morgan Sr., at home; daughter, Susan K. Morgan, Luzerne; son, Robert L. Morgan Jr. and his wife, Melissa, Dallas; and the twinkle of her eye was her granddaughter, Brianna Morgan, New York.
Funeral services will be held at a date to be announced from Wyoming Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
