Wesley Rose Obituary

Wesley Ross Rose, age 87, passed away on September 18, 2025. He was born on May 1, 1938, and lived a life rich with love, kindness, and selflessness—a legacy that will surely thrive in the hearts of those who knew him.

Wesley was a devoted father and cherished grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved children, John Wesley Rose, Susan Rose Wetzel and beloved son-in-law Rick Wetzel. His grandchildren, Harley Rose, Clint Bilbrey, Zollie Rose, Marrisa Rose, and Brendan Rose, along with his three great-grandchildren.

Known for his loving and kind demeanor, Wesley’s warm presence was a comfort to family and friends alike, and he shared his life’s many lessons, always encouraging others to be the best version of themselves.

He spent his life as self-employed truck driver whose heart was as vast as the open road he traveled.

Wesley had a profound love for horses and dogs. These creatures brought him joy and companionship.

He is preceded in death by his dear parents, Zollie and Martha Rose.

As we remember Wesley, we reflect on the countless lives he has touched throughout his journey. His legacy shall live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as they carry forward the lessons of kindness, love, and selflessness that he so generously shared.

No services are planned at this time.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sun Crest Hospice.

Wesley and I got to know each other years ago because he wanted some of my horses for himself to ride and we became really good friends after that and did a lot of trips to Amish country and also Amish sales, I introduced him to my sister and they lived together for a few years but with declining health on both ends my sister went back to Hopkinsville and Wesley sold his little farm and moved also but later bought a smaller home in Clarksville and I just recently got to chat with him while we both where visiting my sister in her last few hours and he told me that day he was going to be joining her soon so I guess he knew more than I thought, because that is what he has done a lot sooner than I expected, I want to offer my condolences to Susan and his sons Wesley and John and I am so sorry u did not have him around longer he was a good man and a great father! Deepest condolences to Wesley´s family.. he was one of a kind. Some of my best memories were with him and Loretta.. driving around the country side.. going to Croften farm sales. This picture was taken on one of their anniversaries .. both wanted chicken wings- and jalapeño poppers.. so I made them- we had lots of laughs that night, and so many other great times. He will be sorely missed. Together again... in
heaven. Rest in peace my friend.
