Joseph Parent Obituary

Joseph Lloyd Parent, of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 83. He was a native of Madisonville, Louisiana, born on February 3, 1941, to the late Norman Parent and Onelia Cousin Parent.
Joseph's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife of 61 years, Carol Parent. Together, they built a family foundation that was strong, loving, and supportive. Their children, Gregory Parent (Desiree), Tina Partain (Jerry), and Angela Cerise, were the center of Joseph's world, and he instilled in them the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity. His grandchildren, Casey, Alexis, Jacob, Sophie, Elliana, Gavin, and Avery, were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Joseph is the beloved brother of Albert Parent, Leon Parent, Norman Parent, Catherine Parent, Louella Parent, and Shirley Parent. He was a source of wisdom and comfort to his siblings as well as his extended family and close friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Professionally, Joseph was a respected contractor, known for his meticulous work and fair dealings. His career was marked by a commitment to excellence and a reputation for reliability. Beyond his professional life, Joseph was an avid bowler. He found joy in the camaraderie of the game and the friendly competition. Bowling was more than a hobby for Joseph; it was a way to connect with others and share in the simple pleasures of life.
