Elsie Elder Obituary

Indianapolis - Elsie Golc Elder, 97, our lucky star passed away on Jan 22, 2025.

Elsie is now reunited in Heaven with her Husband Jack and two Daughters: Nancy Krekel and Sarah Elder. We know her heavenly music track is her favorite song: "What A Wonderful World". The lyrics beautifully described her outlook on life.

Born Nov 25, 1927, in Haughville, Indianapolis. Elsie graduated from Holy Trinity Grade School and St. Mary Academy.

Elsie was a founding member at St. Matthew Catholic Church and School, a volunteer at St. Mary's Early Childhood Center, and worked at the Election Polls. Elsie was later employed by Noble of Indiana. Once retired, Elsie supported St. Louis de Montfort, and volunteered at the Fishers Public Library. She always enjoyed being part of a group with a common goal of good.

Elsie's bowling ball included the Cubs logo and served her well from the 1960s - 1990s with her long-time group; The Devonettes Women's Bowling League.

She also leaves behind a heck of a lot of love. Daughters: Barbara Fisher, Ann Coy, Beth Molina. Sons: John Elder, Chris Elder. Son-in-Law: Kurt Krekel, numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Including Sister-in-Law: Doris Golc, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Elsie would not want a lot of fanfare, but Mom, we wanted you to be recognized because you made it all, "A Wonderful World!"

Funeral Services will be February 22, at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, Fishers, IN. 10:45AM visitation in the church lobby with 11:45AM Eulogy and Mass. Cremation Burial will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
