Karen Majchrowicz Obituary

Karen Marie Coburn Majchrowicz

Key West , FL -

It is with deep sorrow that we share the loss of our beloved wife, sister, daughter, and friend.

On September 17, 2023 we lost our beloved Karen Marie (Coburn) Majchrowicz. Karen was born on March 9, 1966, in Melrose Massachusetts. She attended Concord High School with the class of 1984 in Concord NH, where she made many friends and enjoyed cheerleading for the Crimson Tide. After graduating, she went on to enjoy modeling and a career in cosmetology. Her love of the sun and ocean drew her to the Keys in 1995, where she met and married the love of her life, Quentin Stifel. Living in Key West, she studied criminal justice at St. Leo University and excelled as a leader of the Digital Court Reporters of Monroe County for many years. In addition, she was a proud co-owner and founder of Island Coaches Taxi LLC established in 1996 alongside her (late husband), Quentin Stifel. Karen loved adventure and speed and enjoyed owning her own motorcycle. Eventually, all 105 lbs. of our spitfire aplied her need for speed by joining the Prostar Drag Race Team in Fla. where she maximized her love for the motorcycle. Karen remarried in 2015, to her current husband Chris Majchrowicz. They lived on the ocean where Karen loved to garden, ride motorcycles, boat, and entertain family and friends as an astounding hostess. Karen passed through life like a hummingbird. Always full of energy, she put passion and love into everything she did and into everyone she encountered. She was as fierce as she was loving and as strong as she was tender. You were just as likely to see Karen drag racing motorcycles as you were tending to her orchids and flower garden.

An avid animal lover, Karen adored her labrador, Sherpa. They spent many full days in the yard enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. Strong, tender, and always feminine, our lives have been blessed in knowing and loving our sweet Karen Marie. If you knew Karen, you knew love.

Karen was born to her mother Ann Jean Bernardi (deceased 1972), father Donald W Coburn Sr. (deceased 2010). Survived by her brothers, Donald W. Coburn Jr.( Jennifer Hayes) of Kennebunkport ME, Kenneth Coburn (late Karen Kathryn) of Hooksett NH, and sister Lynne Fergon of Chicago Il. Step mother Joyce Coburn (Donald Coburn Sr.) and 3 step-siblings, Kelly (William) Booth, Karen (Bailey) Smith and Chris (Debbie) Neilson of Bow NH. Husband, Chris Majchrowicz, Key West.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on
