Patricia Smith Obituary

With her family by her side, Patricia Ann Smith peacefully passed at her home on Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2024.

She was born on June 26, 1930, in Borger to Patrick Roy and Grace Margaret Haley.

Patricia Haley and Floyd Wayne "Buck" Smith were married on February 9, 1951 in Borger. In August of 1952, Buck and Pat had a son, Jerry W. Smith and later on another son, Samuel F. Smith.

She worked and retired from Phillips 66 Computing Department.. In 1962, Pat and Buck started a business in Borger on main street, it was named "OTASCO". After retiring from Phillips 66, she worked part and full time at Otasco until April 4, 2024 at the age of 93. She was the "back bone of Otasco."

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband F.W, Buck Smith; a sister, Marcella Stewart and a brother, Herbert Haley.

Leaving behind to forever cherish her many memories are 2 sons: Jerry and wife Pam Smith of Borger and Sam and wife Teresa Smith of Panhandle, Texas; Granddaughters: Marianne Ferrell and husband Jay of San Antonio, Texas and Kelly Smith of San Antonio, Texas; 2 step-grandchildren (from Sam's family): Jesse and Sarah Wohlford of Borger and Carly and Javi Palmier of Florida.

Her sons say she was a great mother. She loved watching old movies . Her family states:" her only uncompleted wish was to vote for Donald Trump. She prayed for him daily."

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.
