He was born April 19, 1933, in Newton County, to Frank Cheatham and Mamie Owens.
He is survived by his three daughters Julie Cheatham-Soto, Bryan Soto (husband) and their three sons Brandon, Christopher, and Thomas; June Vera, Daniel Vera (husband) and their three sons Mack, Colton, and Wyatt; Janette Cheatham as well as his two sisters, Avanell Bowden, Flonia Smith, and Patricia Owens.

Mack was a former neighbor and a nice friend. He fixed my rental roof and did a really nice job!

Mack was a good friend and a talented man also. I remember when he helped me fix my roof on a rental house in Oakland a few years ago, He did a really nice job. I will miss him.

Dad was the most caring and kind person to his family and close friends, and he loved us girls and his grandsons unconditionally. Dad showed up in all of our lives, his grandchildren, his extended family, and close friend´s lives everyday even when his health started failing. Dad´s passing has left a huge void in our lives that will never be replaced. He will be eternally missed and cherished by us forever.
