Robert A. Donofrio
Robert Anthony Donofrio, age 65, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2023 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He was the devoted husband of 41 years to Patricia (Rauser) Donofrio. He was born in Bridgeport on February 14, 1958, son of the late Raymond and Lois (Smith) Donofrio. Robert started his 45-year career as a telephone lineman in 1978 with SNET and continued throughout all of the company transitions, currently as Frontier. He cherished his time at work with his second family, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Pay". Robert is also survived by his four children, Jennifer Camera and her husband Joshua, Robert Donofrio Jr. and his wife Danielle, Timothy Donofrio, William Donofrio, grandchildren, Harper Donofrio, Robert "Beau" Donofrio III, and Hayden Donofrio, four brothers, Raymond Donofrio, Christopher Donofrio, Wayne Donofrio, Bruce Donofrio, sister Kathy Donofrio, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Tuesday, friends are invited to meet directly at St. Joseph's Church, 50 Fairmont Place, Shelton, for his Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Monroe.
