June 1, 1945 - September 30, 2024
COTTAGE GROVE - Stanley Gordon Rockweiler, age 79, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1945, in Reedsburg, the son of Frederick and June (Calkins) Rockweiler.
Stanley graduated from Weston High School, Cazenovia in 1963 and received his associate degree in electronics in 1965. He was united in marriage to Patricia (Jax) Rockweiler on Sept. 8, 1973, at St. Anthony Church in Germantown. He worked in quality control for GE Healthcare as his lifetime career.
Stanley was hardworking and was a go to guy when anything needed repair. He loved fixing electronics and was always helping others. Stanley was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and past member of Madison Jazz Society. He loved music and had a wonderful singing voice.
Stanley is survived by his daughter, Doria (Lee) Dahl; brother, Gary Rockweiler; brother-in-law, Joe (Judy) Jax; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents; and sisters-in-law, Jackie Rockweiler and Mary (Bob) Christ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
