GREENVILLE -- Byron J. Hart, 90, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
He was born on June 9, 1934, in Union City, Ohio, to the late James and Elsie (Kester) Hart.
In addition to his parents, Byron was preceded in death by his brothers, Morris (Ruth) Hart, Gene (Louise) Hart, and Wayne (Lucille) Hart.
Byron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barb (Schleich) Hart, whom he married on August 15, 1970; his children, Kent (Joni) Hart, Kim (Joey) Manalo, Kevin (Stacie) Hart, Scott Hart, and Jim (Sara) Hart; his 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Byron graduated from Union City High School, East Side. He enjoyed farming, collecting tractors, woodworking, and traveling. Byron served his country honorably in the United States Army.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenville. Military honors will follow at the church.
Guests may visit with the family on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM, at St. Mary's Parish Center, located beside the church.
The family invites you to join them in wearing business casual for the visitation and funeral service.
Tribute Funeral Homes is serving Byron's family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Brethren Retirement Community's Resident Aid Fund, or EverHeart Hospice.
