Don Horner Obituary

Don Lee Horner, 78, of Robbins, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at First Health Hospice House in West End.
Memorial Services, 2:00 pm, Sunday, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Robbins.
Officiating, Rev. Vick Hill and Rev. William Saunders.
Interment, Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Robbins.
Don was born in Montgomery County and was a 1966 graduate of North Moore High School, which was the first class to graduate from the newly built school. After graduation, Don went on to serve honorably in the United States Army. Don was a hard worker and spent his entire career running heavy equipment. He loved doing things such as clearing land and building ponds. Mr. Horner was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was a former president of the Methodist Men where he was very involved in all of their functions, especially cooking. Mr. Horner was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Willa Jones Horner.
Survivors: wife of 48 years, Virginia Horner of the home, son, Russell W. Horner of Robbins, sister, Kay Horner Pickler and husband Rodney of Robbins, grandchildren, Brynna Jedrey and Kaia Horner.
The family will receive friends following the service.
