Greta Young Obituary

Greta Maclin Young, age 93, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and wife of the late Marion L. Young, departed this life Sunday morning, December 29, 2024 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.

Greta was born May 18, 1931 in Somerville, the daughter of the late Roy Maclin and Utoka Rogers Ohnsman. She was employed with the parts department at Boeing before her retirement. She loved being with her family, camping with her husband and getting together with her two sisters to just have fun.

Mrs. Young is survived by her daughter, Glenna Buff (Bill); her son, Roy Young (Sheryl); her sister, Donna Russell; and three grandchildren, Jerald Iverson, Ryan Young and Kelly Young. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Walters.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Young will be at 11 A.M. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Somerville City Cemetery with Rev. Don VanVoorhis of Somerville Methodist Church officiating.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.

Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center and condolences may be left on our online guestbook at www.PeeblesFuneralHome.com.
