Robert Mallard Obituary

Robert Daniel Mallard, 81, of Luthersville, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, AL.
Mr. Mallard was born February 27, 1943 in Statesboro, GA., the son of Raymond D. Mallard and Freida L. Mallard. At an early age, the family moved to Manchester, GA., where he was raised, attended school, and went to church at Northside Baptist. After high school, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and then pursued a career as a professional Truck Driver. He retired as a self-employed truck driver. In his retirement, Mr. Mallard enjoyed keeping and caring for animals, particularly horses. For many years, he and his wife Christine enjoyed attending auctions and had many friends that they would see frequently in the auction circuit. Mr. Mallard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Jane Mallard, as well as his parents, and his sisters Laura M. Fox, and Judy M. Hattrem.
He is survived by his four children, daughter, Sherry Porter of Thomaston, GA, and sons, Bob (Connie) Mallard of Columbus, GA, Jason (Dana) Mallard of Cheyenne, WY, John (Erica) Mallard of Opelika, AL: grandchildren, Jacob Mallard, Lila Mallard, Taylor Morton, Dalton Morton, Meagan Hubbuch, Reed Mallard, and Tyler Porter: great grandchildren, Eason Mallard, and Leo Hubbuch; brother Raymond (Shannon) Mallard, and sister, Linda (Barney) Burnett.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal memorial service will be held.
