Maxwell Burch Obituary

Maxwell Oram "Max" Burch, age 92, resident of Adamsville, Tennessee and husband of the late Shelby Faye Burch, departed this life Sunday morning, July 21, 2024 at his home.

Max was born April 28, 1932 in Williston, Tennessee, the son of the late Charles Edward Burch, Sr. and Mary Louise Smith Burch. He served his country in the United States Army and was employed at Chickasaw Electric in Somerville for 33 years before his retirement. Max loved his family, mowing his yard, gardening, hunting, fishing and golfing.

Mr. Burch is survived by two daughters, Nancy Weeks (David) and Mary Warren (James); his son, Michael Burch (Amy); his sister, Mary Joan Earnest; eight grandchildren, Amy McQueen (B.J.), Christopher Burrow (Brandi), Tisha Plunk (Chris), Ashleigh Hacker (Alex), Cody Weeks (Cassie), Tyler Warren (Jessica), Stephanie Eubanks and Jerry Warren (Morgan); and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen "Cissy" Burch Kelley and his brother, Charles Edward Burch, Jr.

A visitation for Mr. Burch will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers will be Bro. David Reeves, pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville and Bro. Carl Doyle of Oakland. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery at Williston.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tyler Warren, Christopher Burrow, Alex Hacker, B.J. McQueen, Jerry Warren, Cody Weeks and Chris Plunk.
