Benjamin Graham Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin Leroy Graham, who left this world on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on March 17, 1961, in Jacksonville, Florida, Benjamin was a beloved son, father, brother, fiancé, and friend. His life, which spanned over six decades, was marked by love, hard work, and an unwavering spirit.
Benjamin was the cherished son of Mack McClendon, Sr. and Juanita McClendon, both of whom preceded him in death. He was welcomed into the world by a loving family that included his grandmothers, Hannah Graham and Ethel McClendon, and his grandfathers, Mack McClendon, Sr. and Fredrick Jaudon. He also faced the sorrow of losing his sister, Wendy McClendon; his brother, Larry McClendon; and his nephew, Kentton Washington, who he missed dearly throughout his life.
Benjamin was also blessed to have found love again in his life with fiancé Stephanie Wilson, who brought him companionship and joy in his later years.
A proud graduate of Duval County Public Schools, Benjamin carried the lessons learned within those walls into the world as a dedicated worker in landscaping and construction. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family, taking pride in every task, he undertook.
Outside of work, Benjamin was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in the great outdoors. His love for fishing was unrivaled; whether casting a line off the shore or spending time on the water, he found serenity in nature and often shared this passion with family and friends.
He is survived by his two beloved children, Benjamin Graham, Jr. and Cardell Foster, who brought him immense joy and pride. Benjamin was a loving father who instilled in his children the values of hard work and perseverance. He also leaves behind a host of siblings who will forever carry his memory in their hearts: Wilbert McClendon (Leslie), Gary McClendon (Val), Darlene Smith (Joe), Kendall Jones, and Ericka Lee. His extended family included his uncle, Charlie McClendon; aunts, Margaret Graham, Lucille Hayes, Sadie Thomas, Alberta Harris, Faye McClendon, Sandra McClendon, Melissa McClendon, along with numerous nieces and nephews, including Breanna, Breonna, Latavia, Jazmine, Terrance, Otis, Justin, John, Aniyah, Aleeya, Edward and Bryant each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Benjamin touched the lives of many, and his legacy will live on through the numerous lives he influenced. He was a friend to many and carried a special bond with several individuals, including Matthew Pope, Timothy Davis, Theodeus Denson, and Alisha Greene, who were like family to him.
While we mourn the loss of Benjamin, we also give thanks for the time we had with him. His spirit, kindness, and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him. Benjamin Leroy Graham, you will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Your legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire all of us. Rest in peace.
