James Conner Obituary
James Robert Conner, 78, of Afton passed away Sunday at Greeneville Community Hospital.
Robert was employed at Franklin Furniture for a number of years. He restored cars and loved to wash and shine his vehicles. He loved his beloved poodle, Prissy. Robert had alot of wit and could tell some good stories.
He is survived by his wife: Wanda Sue Conner; one son: Todd Starnes; one daughter: Jama Reynolds; grandchildren: Robert Craig Foster and Bre Reynolds; two sisters: Vivian (Troy) Gammon, and Mitzi (Tommy) Gosnell; and a son-in-law: Lester Foster.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Sherry Foster; her parents: Bruce and Ruby Conner; and a brother: Bob Conner.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Crematon Service, downtown. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in Jeffers Downtown Chapel with Ruey Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery. Family and friends will be pallbearers.
