Not sure what to say?

I was so saddened to read about Stanley's passing. I worked in Warrants and Robbery with him and Janofsky in the '70's and a more wonderful man I could not dream of meeting. He and I had some nice talks while I was a steno reporter there. I think when they made Stanley they broke the mold. My sympathies to all his family, Sincerely, Betty Astrin

Memories of my brother Stanley: I looked up to him, he was older than me. I learned many things from him...Some good, and some bad, Ha-Ha.We slept together as young brothers. There were three other siblings that had to sleep doubled up. Stan would pull the feather bed over himself, and I was left to freeze. The house was not well-insulated.Among his nicknames, were: Stunts,Skinny,(he was skinny, then). We had GREAT times together. I did get back at him through the years, he taught me well. Oh, the funny memories.I sure did miss him when he enlisted in the Navy in 1939. I enlisted in the Marine Corp. in 1943, when we were @ war already. He didn't like me enlisting in the marine corp. He wanted me to join the Navy.I told him, that the Marine Corp was the best part of the Navy..Ha-Ha. I will miss him. I hope that God has given him a place in Heaven. So Long Stan, We'll be together again, some day. Your Loving brother...Eddie (Edvard-in Polish).

I am Robert Lastinger's fiancee, he is one of Stanley's grandchildren and I know he misses him very much. I was glad that Stanley got to meet one of his great grand children before he passed, and I am saddened that he didn't get to meet his great grandson James, who was born on his wife Ruby's birthday, March 24th of this year. I have a picture of Stanley and Kaytlynn (great granddaughter), and Robert, if anyone would like a copy. I can email it. Best wishes.
