Alvin Ward Obituary
1913 - 2009Alvin A. Ward, 95, of Pensacola, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 surrounded by his family.
Alvin was born in Walnut Hill on December 6, 1913.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Mary Pauline and granddaughter, Shannon.
Survivors include his children Alvin Gene and Barbara Ward, Elsie Hulion, Bobby Ward, Sr., Joyce and Rudolph Barnhill and Jane and Dan Sturgill; grandchildren Diane Deeds, Tina and Mark Haley, Gary Ward, Kathryn and Charles Martin, Tracey and Danny Finley, Jimmy Hulion, Bobby, Jr. and Yvonne Ward, Alvin and Tina Ward, Shawn and Crystal Ward, Rickie Sturgill, David Sturgill and Dani Sneed; nineteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and one sister Mary Morris of Mobile.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor Jody Wolf officiating.
Interment will follow immediately at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
