Charles Kindle Obituary

Charles Kindle
03/06/2025
Springfield, VT.
Charles T. Kindle, 69, passed away at home in Springfield, VT on March 6, 2025. He was born in West Haven, CT to Thomas and Bernice (Strode) Kindle.
He was a longtime resident of Oxford, CT where he worked for United Illuminating and retired after 33 years as a substation electrician. He made a great deal of wonderful friendships during that career, some enduring and like family.
Charles was a loving son, a caring brother, devoted husband, loving father and role model. A proud grandfather and a loyal friend. His legacy was love, hard work and a zest for life.
He loved Vermont, fishing with his son, snowmobiling, traveling, spending time with family and campfires with a cold beer. He enjoyed playing all kinds of games: horseshoes, volleyball, pool, cards, dice, backgammon, solitaire and sudoku. He was an honest, grateful, kind and hardworking man.
He was outgoing and a "social mayor" everywhere he went. He loved life and was always open to new adventures. He will be missed by many for his contagious and upbeat personality, his infectious smile and his willingness to always lend a hand.
Charles leaves behind his wife, best friend and soulmate, Diane, along with his cherished son, Chuck; three amazing grandchildren: Hunter, Kierra and Garrett; and three nephews: Paul, Will and Doug.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Thomas Kindle.
We are eternally grateful to Bayada Hospice, Linda Laguerre and staff for their kind and compassionate care.
Per Charles' request there will be no service, but taking a moment to share with others your stories, memories or thoughts of him will be greatly appreciated. These remembrances can be shared at davismemorialchapel.net, under his obituary.
Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Vt. is assisting with arrangements.

What a great person he was. Such a devoted son , he often visited his mom at MBCH sharing a laugh and smile with staff and residents alike. Both his name and his mom "Bunnie" s name bring great memories. He was a great person and will be sadly missed. But we all have our memories to keep our heart smiling
